Welcome to the Northern Kittitas County Historical Society (NKCHS), in Cle Elum, Washington. Founded in 1966, NKCHS is dedicated to increasing awareness of local history and its future impact on our community. Our properties include the Carpenter House Museum and Gallery, and the Telephone Museum, both in Cle Elum. We also partner with restoration efforts such as the Milwaukee Road Depot project in South Cle Elum and with owners of other historic buildings in the area.
